There are three operating companies, each 100% owned by Seamax Maritime B.V. Seamax Management B.V. employs the staff and the crew.
Seamax Ferries B.V. and Seamax Carriers B.V. own a ferry.
In the maritime shipping world, it is common practice for each ship to be owned by a separate company. Seamax Management B.V. charters the ships and also handles all operational services.
Our ships are rented out to third parties either with or without crew. There is a technical crew led by the captain and the chief of the engine room. There is a hotel crew led by the steward and the cook. Formally, the ship is in the hands of the captain.
Mr. B. Verhage is director of Seamax Maritime B.V. He has more than 40 years of experience in the European ferry industry.
He leads a small team, each member has their own specialty; Purchase, technology, maintenance, crew matters and administration.
